ikigai personal reflection

par Gsegner Audrey,

The concept of Ikigai deeply resonates with me, especially as a ballet dancer in a professional training path. Ballet is much more than a discipline for me, it’s a powerful mix of art, physical challenge, and emotion. It demands dedication, precision, and patience, and yet it brings me so much joy.

I realize that my daily routine already reflects some aspects of Ikigai: I’m doing something I truly love, something I’ve been working on for years to become better at, and something that, through performance, can inspire others. Whether it’s in rehearsals, on stage, or even when dealing with pain or fatigue, there’s always a sense of purpose that drives me.

What struck me in the video is the idea of flow: that effortless state where passion meets focus. I often feel this when I dance. It’s not always easy, but when everything aligns, I lose the sense of time and fully connect to what I’m doing. That’s when I know I’m close to my Ikigai.

This reflection helped me realize that Ikigai isn’t only about future success, it’s already present in the way I live, move, and grow every day.

Ikigai personal reflection

par Durand Noémie,

The concept of Ikigai really spoke to me, especially as a high-level basketball player in a training center. Basketball is clearly something I love deeply. It’s my passion, and I dedicate most of my time and energy to it.

I find joy and purpose in my daily routine in every training session, every challenge, and every small improvement. Even the tough days feel meaningful because I know I’m working toward something that matters to me.

This reflection helped me realize that I’m already on a path that connects with my Ikigai, and I want to keep growing, not only as an athlete but also as a person who lives with purpose.

Ikigai personal reflection by Noah Nicolas

par Nicolas Noah,

I think that Ikigai for us (athletes) is already in our mindset, we are already thinking about what we want to do of our lives and I guess that the majority knows what they want to do!
In my point of view, Ikigai's philosophy is the routine of athletes.
We are passioned of a sport that we love, where we are good at, the idea in the future is to get paid and with our sportive career we will help the next generations and push the limits of the sports.

In my case Kitesurfing and all the things that are around this sport (trainings, competitions, learnings, travels, meetings, opportunities, etc) are my purpose in life!

Ikigai personal reflection

par Krummenacher Jade,

After thinking about Ikigai, I see how parts of my life align with this concept.

My love of basketball and my desire to progress as a player match my passion and my profession. I find joy in every workout, and my goal of becoming a professional basketball player gives me a daily purpose.

Personal reflection

par Danthois Oscar,
Several aspects of ikigai relate to my life, such as passion, which is experienced through my sports practice; it's one of the reasons why I get up
in the morning in such a good mood. And the mission, because I must succeed as much in class as on the field; it's not a mission that the world
 needs, but it's my mission.

personal reflection

par Soulie Alice,

After learning about Ikigai, I realized that some parts of my life already connect with this idea.

For example, playing tennis brings me joy, and I work hard to improve because it’s something I’m good at and passionate about. I also enjoy helping teammates and sharing knowledge, which gives me a sense of purpose. In daily life, I find motivation when I do activities that feel meaningful: like training, learning new skills, or supporting others.

These small moments show me that I'm on the path to discovering my Ikigai.

Personal reflection Lucie

par Lemoine Lucie,

I find the concept very interesting for example my Ikigai could be: I'm a passionate and talented dancer who creates choreographies to motivate people to take care of their health while earning my living by teaching and performing on stage.

Personal reflection

par Coulet Sarah,

I understand the ikigai state of mind in my life because it also represents a balance between 4 weell-defined things.

I think I can say that I found my Ikigai with volleyball for my part because I love what I do, I earn money, the world and society loves sports and I’m quite good at what I do.

I found joy and purpose By giving me the objectives to evolve, to play at better levels and to surpass myself.
