The Challenge :
Working in groups of 2 or 3, you are tasked with launching a new brand from scratch. You will step into the shoes of digital marketing consultants/designers to design and execute a cohesive Instagram campaign for a product or service of your choice.
Your goal isn’t just to "post"—it is to persuade.
Your Instagram profile must be a complete "brand universe" containing the following elements:
- Brand Identity: A unique business name, a custom-designed logo, and a punchy, professional bio.
- Visual Storytelling (2 Posts): Two high-quality image posts (infographics, posters, or lifestyle photography) designed to grab attention.
- The "Pitch" Video (1 Reel/Post): A video post featuring a minimum of 30 seconds of speech.
- Note: Every group member must speak in the video.
- The Copywriting (150+ Words): Across your three posts (captions + text overlays), you must write a total of at least 150 words. Focus on rhetorical devices and persuasive language.
Key Learning Objectives
- Written Expression: Crafting concise, impactful "micro-copy" that fits the social media format.
- Oral Fluency: Delivering a convincing pitch or product demonstration with clarity and personality.
- Creative Design: Using visual tools to support your linguistic message.
- Strategic Persuasion: Applying specific vocabulary and tone to target a chosen audience.
⚠️ Essential Logistics
· Attendance is Compulsory: This project is designed to be completed during class time. Your presence and active collaboration are direct factors in your final grade.
- Platform: While you are designing for Instagram, you can present this via a live account or a mock-up tool (like Canva or Figma).
