     The primary aim of this lesson is to introduce you to the concept of sponsorship in sports, with a focus on vocabulary development and conceptual understanding. In this lesson you will focus on : 

    •  Acquire key terms and explain basic sponsorship concepts 
    •  Analysising real-world examples and exploring the impacts and ethical considerations of sponsorship.

      • Lesson material release: Every thursday, new lesson content will be made available for you to access.
      • Study period: You have from thursday until wednesday, (next week) to work through the material at your own pace.

      Writing personal reflection

      After watching the video, take 20 minutes to reflect on your own experiences with sponsorship. Consider the following prompts:

      • Have you or your club received sponsorship? If so, what form did it take (financial support, equipment, facility funding)?
      • How has sponsorship impacted your training or competitive experience?
      • How do you perceive the role of sponsors in your sport? Do they positively or negatively influence your experience as an athlete?

      Sponsorship proposal  

      In pairs, brainstorm and present a sponsorship proposal for a hypothetical athlete or team, incorporating the lesson's key vocabulary and concepts.

      For vocabulary related to sponsorship, check the fill-in-the-blank exercise on Padlet; for other words related to sport, use the Mizou AI dictionary provided on task 6 of the Padlet card. Please read the Guidelines to use that AI tool wisely!
