- Have you or your club received sponsorship? If so, what form did it take?

Yes, my club helps me financially when I play matches for them. I also benefit from free infrastructure (courts, balls, trainers).

How has sponsorship impacted your training or competitive experience?

It's obvious that the money I get from my club and sponsors helps me pay for my tournaments, and having free access to the facilities helps me save money for my competitions.

How do you perceive the role of sponsors in your sport? Do they positively or negatively influence your experience as an athlete?

The sponsors play an essential role in my sporting project, as I get my rackets, bags and clothes free of charge. The companies that sponsor me are also very important for me to be able to pay for my competitions, travel, the accompaniment of my trainer and my academy, which represents a significant amount of money.
However, it's sometimes difficult to manage the pressure to achieve good results in order to represent the company well, or to hope to maintain the partnership. It's hard to believe that every bad result will have no impact on the partnership.

My club (Asvel) received sponsorship by Adidas. Thanks to them we have equipment like tee-shirts, shorts, sweets, joggings, socks.

Adidas dresses my entire team so when we travel we look like a professional team.

Your reflections provided insightful perspectives on the role of sponsorship in your respective sports.

Most of you structured your reflections well, you reflected on your experiences with sponsorship, highlighting its impact and significance. In dance, sponsorship is less common but can foster beneficial partnerships, such as collaborations between fashion houses and choreographers, enhancing cultural exchange. For team sports like cycling and volleyball, sponsorship is crucial, providing financial support, equipment, and travel assistance, which are essential for maintaining high performance levels and reducing financial burdens on athletes.

The majority of you think that Sponsorship positively influences training and competitive experiences by ensuring access to quality resources and facilities. It also enhances the professional image and visibility of clubs, particularly when supported by renowned brands. Club-level sponsorship remains vital for sustaining operations and improving conditions for all members. However, personal sponsorship is rarer in some sports.

Overall, you perceive sponsorship as a beneficial and necessary component in sports, contributing to your well-being and success as an athlete, and for club financial support.

Yes, my club is financially supported by the brand Errea. This sponsorship is manifested in sports equipment and outfits. As a player, this directly influences my training and my games, since I have the opportunity to use these quality equipment that improve my comfort during the game.

Sponsors like Errea play a very beneficial role in our sport, as they provide us with resources that we might not have had otherwise. In addition to the equipment, the support of an internationally renowned brand also gives us greater visibility and improves the professional image of our club.

Sponsorships

I do not have in-depth relationships with sponsorship because I do a team sport which therefore requires fewer personal sponsors.

Goal in volleyball it’s important for the clubs from revenues and especially in my club it’s a sponsor of types of equipment.

I don't have any sponsorship personally, but my club receives a lot of sponsorship. Whether it's financial support for our trips outside Switzerland or elsewhere, or in terms of equipment with a complete equipment kit.
Sponsorship helps us to improve our sporting results, because it puts us in the best possible conditions to perform on the field. So it's essential to have them.
So for me, they play a very important role in the well-being of our athletes and the life of our clubs.

- As a dancer in training, I'm not lucky enough to receive sponsors personally, but my school does sometimes receive sponsorship through my directors' contacts. These partnerships sometimes provide financial support for the school, or improved equipment. This can help to improve the resources available to us as students, such as better stage costumes, new dance floors... all of which are crucial to our training and our performances.

- It has helped provide better facilities for rehearsals and high-quality equipment. This makes the overall experience much better, as we can focus on our training without worrying about the quality of the materials we are using.

- In dance, sponsorship opportunities are much rarer compared to mainstream sports like football. Most sponsorships come through networks of contacts or for major events like prestigious competitions or professional companies. As a dancer still in training, the limited sponsorships my school receives do positively impact my experience, providing valuable resources for training and competitions. While sponsorship in dance is not as common, it’s always appreciated and makes a big difference when it happens.

Yes my team received sponsorship in different forms like financial support , in kind payment , team sponsorship, corporate sponsorship and tax relief.

these sponsorship allow us to be in good condition on the races and training because thank's to this we have a bike, sport equipments like helmet , shoes and clothes and we don't pay our travel for the races so the sponsorship of the teams are so important to support us financially.

So yes for me it's indispensable in cycling to have sponsorship because it's to expensive to finance yourself and the teams need minimum 350 000 € just for one saison. So all help, even small help, are important to us .

Dance is a sport but it's firstly an art. Business relations and sponsopring are very little used. Dance is a more about corporate sponsorship activity, but it would have been partnerships such as between a "haute couture house " and a choreographer. When it's the case it's positive because it can lead to dance lovers to interest in "haute couture" and can bring fashion fans to open up to culture.
