It's true that most of the sports pollutes a lot producing the gear that we use, the travels that we do, the organisation of competitions, etc

The environmental footprint in general of every athlete depends on the sport but some of us pollute more than other, for example the pilot of a motorsport on the road pollutes more than a surfer and his board on the wave.

In kitesurfing we don't have a lot of environmental impacts while we are training, we are flowing with the nature.

As athletes and sports organizations we can try to decrease the climate change by choosing sponsors that are aware of carbon literacy and want to be positively involved about the environment change and protect it or at least try prevent it. Competition organizers can choose destinations where the majority of riders are located to reduce flights of other athletes from other locations and where there is already infrastructures to compete there, instead of building new ones.

Renewable energies can provide the needs that can help companies to produce all the materials that athletes use, without polluting as much as other companies that don't use that type of "clean" energies.
