Sport is generally one of the most polluting elements, not in its own sense but in the actions carried out, such as travel for competitions or the production of equipment, textiles, or here for handball: resin, harvested from thorny trees. The environment is therefore affected to a limited extent. Therefore, sport is directly affected. High temperatures prevent certain matches from being played or heavy retention which then brings in matches. Sport is increasingly affected, so it is our duty as athletes to completely tip the balance in favor of our environment. How can athletes or organizations advocate for environmental change? Nowadays, due to the high level of overconsumption at refreshment stands, from an economic point of view but especially waste and GHG emissions, some clubs are setting up collaborative orchards. The goal is to share the harvested fruits to make fruit juices, but also to save money and reduce the environmental impact. Today, when creating new sports infrastructure, renewable energy is essential. In other words, the stadium should cost nothing or as little as possible. We then talk about green energy. This is therefore essential to be able to continue practicing a more sustainable sport; the future of our environment lies in sport.
