Personal actions: Currently, as a dancer, I am mindful of reducing waste and conserving resources. I use reusable water bottles and containers, avoid single-use plastics, and try to reduce my carbon footprint by walking or cycling whenever possible. However, I know there is room for improvement. For instance, I could be more conscientious about the products I use for skin care, hair care. I also see opportunities to make more sustainable choices when it comes to long-distance travel to performances.

Club initiatives: In my company, there are a few initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact, such as limiting the use of plastic bottles during rehearsals and offering reusable water bottles to dancers. However, the company could do more. Additionally, implementing a costume recycling program and promoting energy-efficient lighting in the studio would be steps in the right direction.

Challenges and opportunities: Touring and traveling for performances can result in a significant carbon footprint, and many of the materials we use in our costumes and sets are not easily recyclable. Moreover, there is potential to inspire other companies to follow suit, as the arts community can serve as an example of how creativity and sustainability can coexist.

Future goals: Personally, my goal is to reduce my waste even further, particularly in areas like my diet and travel choices. These small steps can contribute to making our life form more aligned with environmental stewardship.
