Hi everyone,
From now on I will be uploading our lessons onto Moodle instead of sending you work via email. I will be available to answer any questions you have about the activities on chat on this platform during your normal lesson time. As you can see I have divided you all into subgroups according to the time and week of our lessons and you can access the chat forum through these subgroups. These will give you access to the chat for the hour of your lesson time. As I have already sent lesson 4 to the week 1 students (who can ask me questions any time via email) the first proper "Moodle" lesson will be the week 2 groups this coming Monday (23rd march). The activities for the following lessons will be uploaded on the Monday of week 1's lessons and will remain available for a full two weeks.
Our topic for this final section of TP lessons is Weather forecasts and News headlines. One of the key aims of this topic is to familiarise you with some 'real world' complex English, as you see on television in an English speaking country. We will be building up listening skills and targeted vocabulary so that by the end of the course you'll be able to make sense of at least the key ideas of quickly delivered native speech in these specific areas!
As we are already half way through our lessons for this semester I will be giving you classes 4,5 and 6 on here. The first lesson (lesson 4 of this semester) is about weather forecasts, (already uploaded) and the second session (lesson 5) will focus on news headlines. The final session will be devoted to your evaluations!
